This is crucial to fostering a well-functioning state that acts in the best interests of its people -- in tackling corruption, efficient spending of public resources, promoting investment and jobs, and delivering effective public services. This programme aims to address the power imbalance between state and citizen in Tanzania by helping civil society organise at different levels to articulate citizen demands, and then support their negotiation with the relevant authorities. Excluding VAT the total value of the contract is 36 023 603.49 GBP, which includes a Fund Element of 27 816 016.00 GBP.
