Im Zuge der vertieften Planung ist sudlich von Niederbreitenbach eine Anschuttungsflache (Deponie) im Bereich der bestehenden Grundwasserentnahme Tiefbrunnen Unterrainer (mit Wasserschutzgebiet) vorgesehen. Der Tiefbrunnen Unterrainer muss damit absehbar aufgelassen werden. Aufgrund dieses Umstandes ist seitens der OBB-Infrastruktur AG vorgesehen, potentiell mogliche Ersatzbrunnenstandorte fur den zu verlegenden Tiefbrunnen Unterrainer auf Gemeindegebiet Langkampfen untersuchen zu lassen. Zu diesem Zweck sollen im Bereich zwischen Niederbreitenbach und Unterlangkampfen 2 Versuchsbrunnen hergestellt, zu Grundwassermessstellen ausgebaut werden und Grosspumpversuche durchzufuhren.
