As part of this, the Department requires:-- A Cyprus-wide climate change risk assessment; and-- A national adaptation programme (NAP) which must be put in place and reviewed accordingly, setting out the Government's objectives, proposals and policies for responding to the risks identified in the CCRA.The Cyprus Climate Change Risk Assessment will be the 1st of the risk assessment. The CCRA will assess the main risks and opportunities in Cyprus from climate change. It will assess risks in and across sectors, enabling comparison between different sectors.It will provide underpinning evidence that can be used by the Cyprus' Departments of Government to help inform priorities for action and appropriate adaptation measures. It will also highlight where more work is needed to understand better the scale and nature of the risks, and to help Government to consider what action (if any) needs to be taken.Further economic analysis will supplement the findings from the CCRA to inform Government about the case for further action and the costs and benefits of a number of options for adaptation to climate change.Awards
