De nye lysarmaturer skal bidrage til at reducere kommunens energiforbrug og CO2-udledning, og samtidig oge trafiksikkerheden og skabe tryghed for byens borgere i det offentlige rum. Baggrunden for projektet er et effektivitetskrav fra EU i direktivet Eco-design-direktiv 2005/32/EC (Vejbelysning og kontorbelysning), som stiller krav om effektivitet til lyskilder. Formalet er at nedbringe energiforbruget og miljobelastningen -- herunder CO2-udledningen -- fra lyskilder, belysningsarmaturer og elektriske komponenter beregnet til vej- og gadebelysning, samt at effektivisere belysning til brug i kontorer.Kommunens vejbelysningsarmaturer bestar i dag af mange forskellige typer, hvor de lys-armaturer, der skal skiftes, hovedsageligt er kviksolvsarmaturer.Projektet omfatter detailprojektering og udskiftning af cirka 27-30 000 vejbelysningsarmaturer, svarende til cirka halvdelen af kommunens samlede antal lysarmaturer. Herudover skal der udskiftes cirka 500 traemaster. Lysarmaturer og master, der skal udskiftes, er geografisk spredt ud pa hele kommunen. Masterne til vejbelysning bestar, som lysarmaturerne, af mange forskellige typer.Desuden skal der i et begraenset omrade tilbydes lysstyring. Lysstyring vil blive udbudt enten som option eller som et sideordnet bud.Projektet skal gennemfores fra medio 2015 til medio 2018.Projektet er stottet af ELENA-fonden i EU.Awards
