Som opfolgning pa konkurrencen er der afsat midler til at realisere omdannelsen af H.I. Biesgade til ny kompaktterminal, ombygge krydsningen mellem Havnegade og Brogade, omlaegge Havnegade samt anlaegge et nyt byrum syd for Havnegade med tilhorende krydsning af Brogade for de blode trafikanter. Disse anlaegsprojekter vil udgore en eller flere opgaver, som Mariagerfjord Kommune har til hensigt, gennem forhandling, at indgar kontrakt med vinderen af konkurrencen om projektering af. Anlaegsprojekterne er knyttet til hver deres budget og bundet op pa ekstern medfinansiering, som forslagsstillerne forventes at forholde sig realistisk til.
