Additionally the monitor will be used to measure contamination of laboratory consumables (e.g. gloves, protective equipment or tools) to decide the categorisation into waste.Utilisation of this monitor shall increase the performance of contamination checks, which includes the possibility to measure several small items or a large item at the same time and from all directions. Less time consuming contamination measurements may also contribute to reducing radiation exposure to the staff. In view of the ISO 17025 certification there is a requirement that the contamination measurements of items should be repeatable and traceable afterwards.Annual maintenance and calibration shall be performed during the warranty period of 3 years from the date of acceptance of the product.
