The implementation should comprise a general-purpose solver. In order to solve the optimisation problems arising in the models, the solver should be capable of solving large-scale linear and second-order cone programming (SOCP) problems.In the second part of the contract, the practical implementation of the solver has to be addressed. Its application has to be tailored to the special problems as generated by JRC energy-economic models and optimised in terms of computation time to the specific application.Awards
