Rakennuksessa tulee toimimaan varhaiskasvatuksen kaikki lapsiryhmat sisaltaen myos esiopetuksen vaatimat tilat ja toiminnot (n. 288 lasta ja n. 47 tt). Hankkeen laajuus on noin 3 000 kerros-m2. Rakennusoikeutta tontilla on jaljella 3 175 m2. Hankkeen toiminnalliset ja laadulliset tavoitteet on maaritelty taman tarjouspyynnon liitteena olevassa Porin Rakennuttaja Oy:n laatimassa hankesuunnitelmassa. Lahtokohtana on alustava hankesuunnitelma ja tilaohjelma, jossa kokonaislaajuus on 2400 kem2 / 10 ryhmaa / 240 lasta. Hankesuunnitelman valmistumisen jalkeen tilantarve on kuitenkin kasvanut siten, etta lopullinen suunnitteluratkaisu toteutetaan 12 ryhmaisena, jossa lapsipaikkoja on 288 ja kokonaislaajuus n. 2800-3000 kem2. Tilaaja on maaritellyt hankkeen laajuus- ja kustannustavoitteet ja niiden toteutumista seurataan suunnitteluaikana. Hankkeen suunnittelumuotona on osina suunnittelu ja alustavana toteutusmuotona on jaettu urakka. Varsinainen suunnittelu alkaa heti kun tarjoukset on hyvaksytty ja suunnittelusopimukset on allekirjoitettu kesakuussa. Paivakotirakennuksen on suunniteltu olevan valmis kayttoonotettavaksi kesalla 2025.Awards
