Er wurde 1892/94 von Adolf Schmetzer im Stil der Neurenaissance erbaut. Im Untergeschoss sind Teile der historischen Stadtmauer sowie Fundamente eines Zwingermauerturmchens erhalten. Ausserdem eine Bruchsteinmauer aus Kalkstein um 1330. Die ,,alte Turnhalle" ist bauzeitlich und steht wie das Hauptgebaude in der Denkmalliste des Bayerischen Landesamtes fur Denkmalpflege. Im Jahr 1961 wurde ein zusatzliches Vollgeschoss sowie ein Walmdach auf der Turnhalle errichtet (Aufstockung). Zu diesem Zweck wurden in die Turnhallendecke Stahlbetonbinder eingezogen. 1974 wurde der Schulkomplex durch die ,,neue Turnhalle" sowie den Umkleidetrakt erganzt. Die Sanierung ist wahrend des laufenden Schulbetriebs durchzufuhren.Awards
