Das bestehende Kommunikationsnetz der Stadt Oldenburg wurde im Jahr 2007 implementiert. Im Core Bereich besteht dieses Netz aus Routern der Firma Enterasys. Durch diese Komponenten werden die 8 Hauptstandorte mittels OSPF uber 1 Gbit Verbindungen redundant miteinander verbunden. Des Weiteren werden ca. 25 Aussenstellen, ebenfalls uber 1 Gbit Verbindungen, von diesen Routern bedient. Durch spezielle Routingprotokolle (VRRP) und schnelle 10 Gigabit (Layer 2) Verbindungen steht ein RZ-Netz uber zwei bzw. drei Standorte zur Verfugung. Dieses bildet die Grundlage einer raumlich getrennten, aber dennoch einheitlichen Rechenzentrumsarchitektur. Der Access Bereich besteht ebenfalls aus Komponenten der Firma Enterasys und umfasst ca. 4 500 Ports. Der Datacenter Bereich ist 2015 als Fabric mit Komponenten der Firma Brocade realisiert worden und soll beibehalten werden. Mit der Ausschreibung werden Angebote zur Lieferung von aktiven Netzwerkkomponenten und einer Managementsoftware, Testaufbau- u. Konfigurationsdienstleistung und zum Abschluss eines Wartungsvertrages erbeten.Awards
