Dabei wird das Westportal in sudlicher Verlangerung der Emmericherstrasse liegen. Der Tunnel wird zweimal die Bahnstrecke Giessen-Koblenz, sowie die Schaumburgerstrasse unterqueren und sich in den Auslaufern des Guckenberges erstrecken. Das Ostportal wird in der nordostlichen Talflanke des Geissenberges angeordnet, wo auch der Anschluss an die Brucke uber die Aar erfolgt. Der Schlaferweg (B417 alt) wird von der B417 abgehangt und dient nur noch bei Wartungsabreiten und im Notfall als Umfahrung des Tunnel.Awards
