Dabei wird das Westportal in sudlicher Verlangerung der Emmerichstrasse liegen. Der Tunnel wird zweimal die Bahnstrecke Giessen - Koblenz so-wie die Schaumburgerstrasse unterqueren und sich in den Auslaufern des Gucken-berges erstrecken. Das Ostportal wird in der nordostlichen Talflanke des Geissen-berges angeordnet, wo auch der Anschluss an die Brucke uber die Aar erfolgt. Der Schlaferweg (B 417 alt) wird von der B 417 abgehangt und dient nur noch bei Wartungsarbeiten und im Notfall als Umfahrung des Tunnels. Der Anschluss des Tunnels an die Emmerichstrasse, Schulstrasse und Kanalstrasse erfolgt uber einen gestreckten Kreisverkehrsplatz. Hierzu wird die vorh. Brucke uber die Aar als Kreisfahrbahn genutzt, ein zweites Bruckenbauwerk uber die Aar ist ca. 50 m flussabwarts befindet sich im Bau..Awards
