The project will concentrate on five provinces in the hands of the moderate opposition: Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, Latakia and Daraa. Its approach will combine meeting direct needs with capacity-building elements in the health sector and MHPSS. In Field of activity 1, the salaries of medical and administrative staff in the health sector will be paid in order to secure jobs to maintain health care in the five provinces. With flanking capacity development measures, the project will strengthen sustainable capacities in the health sector and broaden the range of available treatments. Field of activity 2 will concentrate on the basic and continuing education, training, and employment of community social workers and medical staff in psychosocial support and psychotherapeutic treatment.Awards
