Im Wesentlichen besteht es aus zwei speziell geformten Aluminumrohren, die Innen- und Aussenleiter bilden. Um die benotigte Fokussierung zu erreichen, muss ein Strom von 400 kA durch diese Leiter fliessen. Der Bereich in dem sich das magnetische Horn befindet, ist ein Bereich mit einem stark erhohten Strahlungslevel. Aus diesem Grund muss es moglich sein, das magnetische Horn ferngesteuert mit einer ,,Coupling Clamp" von der Stripline zu trennen, um es gegebenenfalls austauschen zu konnen. Bei der Stripline handelt es sich um eine spezielle Leiteranordnung, die das Horn mit dem benotigten Strom versorgt.Awards
