Das Freibad liegt im Stadtgebiet unmittelbar angrenzend an den Waldpark Ost, den zukunftigen Heilwald, an das Gelande der Landesgartenschau NRW 2017 und an weitere Sportanlagen. Die Stadt Bad Lippspringe beabsichtigt, das Thermalfreibad grundlegend zu erneuern. Die wesentlichen Planungsziele sind Barrierefreiheit, Energieeffizienz, Klimafreundlichekeit und die Nutzbarkeit fur alle Generationen. Eine Machbarkeitsstudie in Anlehnung an die LPH 1 u. 2 sowie die Entwurfsplanung der Leistungsbilder Freianlagen, Technische Ausrustung und Gebaude und Innenraume liegen bereits vor. Ein Bodengutachten und ein Schallschutzgutachten sind ebenfalls bereits vorhanden.Awards
