Das 1980 in Betrieb gegangene Gebaude entspricht dem Standard des Erstbezugs und damit nicht mehr den derzeitigen Anforderungen. Zielsetzung der Generalsanierung ist die Wiederherstellung des Gebaudes im Neubaustandard. Hierzu wird die vollstandige Aussenhulle des Gebaudes neu gedammt (Aussenhulle sowie Dachflachen und erdberuhrte Bauteile) sowie Fenster und Sonnenschutzanlagen erneuert. Zusatzlich werden die Ausbaugewerke in Teilen erneuert (abgehangte Decken, Trockenbauwande) und die technische Gebaudeausrustung an den heutigen Standard angepasst. Weiterhin sind Ertuchtigungsmassnahmen hinsichtlich des vorbeugenden Brandschutzes durchzufuhren. Der Verbindungsbau zur angrenzenden Mittelschule soll im Zuge der Massnahme mit saniert werden.
