Das Gebaude wurde 1973 in Massivbauweise errichtet. Es besteht aus einem Hallenbad mit Umkleiden im EG und einer daruber liegenden Dreifachsporthalle mit Gerateraumen und Tribune. Das Hallenbad ist von der Sanierung nicht betroffen. Der Zugang zum Hallenbad und zur Sporthalle soll im Zuge der Baumassnahme baulich getrennt werden. Das Gebaudekomplex ist durch eine Uberdachung mit der Grund- und Mittelschule verbunden. Das ursprungliche Flachdach wurde mit einem gering geneigten Satteldach uberbaut. Die Baumassnahme umfasst folgende Flachen: Bruttogrundflache: 1 860 m2 Nettogrundflache: 1 725 m2 Die Gesamtkosten fur die Sanierungsmassnahme liegen zwischen 4,0 und 4,5 Mio. EUR.
