Im ersten Bauabschnitt wurde 2011 das Foyer neu gestaltet. Nun sollte der Zuschauersaal "Grosser Saal", bestehend aus Saal, Seitenfoyers und Sanitarraumen, abgebrochen und durch einen neuen Baukorper ersetzt werden.Ziel war es ca. 515 Sitzplatze ohne Orchestergraben zu schaffen. Die vorderen 4 Sitzreihen sollten demotierbar sein, sodass ein Orchester vor der Buhne Platz finden kann. Eine neue Z-Brucke und ein Regieraum waren erforderlich. Weiterhin sollte der Garderobenbereich neu gestaltet werden. Der neue Sanitarbereich sollte barrierefrei in einem angrenzenden Raum des Max-Planck-Gymnasiums entstehen. Der Buhnenbereich und die Hinterbuhne bleiben weitestgehend unverandert. Die Barrierefreiheit war zu gewahrleisten. Es war ein Aufzug einzuplanen.Im Vorfeld wurde eine Machbarkeitsstudie durchgefuhrt. Die Ergebnisse der Machbarkeitsstudie sind mit den Nutzern und der Politik abgestimmt und dienten als Grundlage fur die weitere Planung.Die Gesamtkosten inkl. Abbruchkosten wurden auf ca. 6,5 Mio. EUR brutto geschatzt.Awards
