It is TenneT's responsibility to ensure that offshore wind farms are connected to the onshore grid via the offshore grid, to enable the use of the energy that is generated at sea. In this role, TenneT is responsible for the design, fabrication, installation and operation of the grid connections which will transport offshore generated power to shore. TenneT has awarded multiyear agreements to connect eight 2GW Bipolar HVDC Converter stations in the Netherlands by 2031 (additional stations to be connected after 2031 may be added). These agreements cover offshore platforms and onshore stations, as well as the HVDC system for the two-way conversion between alternating and direct currents, and the parties awarded these agreements will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCI) of the 2 GW bipolar HVDC converter stations. Each grid connection system will be capable of transmitting 2GW at 525 kV. With this tender procedure, TenneT aims to select parties that can provide HVDC Engineering Support towards the selected EPCI parties, in the further development of the offshore grid in The Netherlands. This tender procedure is split into the following lots: - Lot 1: System studies and Control and Protection, covering HVDC system studies, Harmonic studies, Control & Protection VSC HVDC system, Dynamic Performance and Factory Performance Test with RTDS, including on-site support; - Lot 2: Primary Plant Engineering and Installation and Commissioning, covering Primary Plant Engineering HVDC / AC (AIS / GIS) engineering, and HVDC system installation and commissioning (onshore or offshore). Per Lot, TenneT aims to select a preferred supplier, a back-up supplier and a second back-up supplier, to which assignments can be assigned.Adjudicaciones
