In scope is ook het onderhoud en service voor de rest levensduur van het systeem opgenomen. Onderhoud en service bevat de instandhouding van het systeem (reparaties e.d.), toekomstige SW aanpassingen en Obsolescence Management. Noodzakelijk onderdeel van deze modificatie is het ontwikkelen van de interface specificatie teneinde een koppeling aan het ETCS systeem mogelijk te maken.
