Entidad compradora🇳🇱 Rijkswaterstaat Dienst Verkeer en Scheepvaart Unidad compradorano reportado Fecha de publicación2013-08-22 Estatus del concursono reportado DescripciónRijkswaterstaat requests producers participation in the development of the Ultra Silent Pavement PERS.In the next decade the current silent pavement types will not be sufficient to meet the demands of the dense trafficked part of the Dutch main network, as owned by Rijkswaterstaat.Therefore, in 2013 Rijkswaterstaat starts a project to develop cost effective Ultra Silent Pavements (Dutch: USW) having an initial noise reduction of 10 dB (Dutch Scale, see www.stillerverkeer.nl) and a minimal durability of 7 years.This project is done within the Corporate Innovation Program of Rijkswaterstaat (see www.rijkswaterstaat.nl/innovatie).The focus of the USW-project will be on poro elastic road surface (PERS) which according to a world wide scan into state of the art ultra silent pavements is the only product which can meet the required noise reduction.Rijkswaterstaat wants to come in contact with producers of e.g. rubber tiles or rubber mats, which are interested in participating in the USW-project. The task of the producers will be the optimisation of their products in such a way that they can meet the mentioned requirements.InfraQuest, the Dutch competence centre on Roads and Constructions,(see www.InfraQuest.nl) will provide in this project Road Engineering knowledge and road test facilities.The project consists of a development in three phases to optimise management of risks and opportunities. The next phases can be distinguished; lab validation (development in the lab), semi practice validation (non-trafficked test section) and practice validation (trafficked test section).After each phase it will be decided which products qualify for the next phase, which optimisation steps are necessary and which developments have to be stopped.The decision will be made on technical, safety and economical arguments. The total project runs from 1.7.2013 till 31.12.2016.Rijkswaterstaat will invite the interested producers for an individual oral presentation and discussion in which they can explain their interest and capabilities.This informative meeting will be on 23.9.2013 and 24.9.2013 in Utrecht, Netherlands. Exact location and time schedule will be communicated in the first week of September.In a second step after 1.10.2013 Rijkswaterstaat will start contract negotiations with suited candidates.
