De nieuwe stationshal is een constructie van beton, staal en glas. De vloer en draagconstructie van de huidige stationshal blijven gehandhaafd en worden uitgebreid. Ook moeten in en rond het nieuwe stationsgebouw verschillende technische ruimtes en installaties worden gerealiseerd, zoals sprinklerinstallaties, luchtbehandeling en verlichting.
