The framework agreement is linked to a subsidy scheme which is being established, and which the Norwegian Environment Agency shall administer from and including 2022. The subsidy scheme is a part of the follow-up of the project "Helhetlig tiltaksplan for en ren og rik Oslofjord med et aktivt friluftsliv" ("Comprehensive action plan for a clean and rich Oslo Fjord with an active outdoor life", and includes Oslo municipality, municipalities in Viken and in Vestfold and Telemark bordering the Oslo Fjord.
