2. Purposes
The objective of this site is to disseminate official public information about Guatemalan procurement.
User data is used for the following purposes:
a) Provide web and email services
b) Service quality monitoring through anonymous traffic analytics (Google Analytics 4)
c) Ensure project sustainability through the display of contextual and interest-based advertising via (Google AdSense).
3. Legal bases
- Mexico: arts. 6-10 LFPDPPP (2025 reform).
- Guatemala: art. 15 LAIP, Decree 57-2008 — public domain status of official records. No data protection law is currently in force in Guatemala (Initiative 6103 remains pending before Congress).
- EU: arts. 6.1.e and 14 GDPR.
4. Categories of data processed
Public domain identifying data (name/NIT), this data is re-published from official sources as indicated in our terms and conditions.
User data: IP, user-agent, email if provided, and content of communications sent.
No sensitive data is processed.
4.1 Republisher status
Sociedad.info republishes information that public institutions have already made public (Guatecompras and other official sources). The party responsible for the original publication is that institution, not us. The most effective way to stop appearing on Sociedad.info and on any other platform that reuses this data is to request removal or correction directly from the official source. When the source updates the record, we reflect the change within a reasonable time.
5. Minors' data
No data is collected from minors under 13 years of age; any data subject can request its deletion.

6.1 Third-party advertising cookies
Google and other providers use the indicated cookies to show ads based on previous visits. The user can disable the IDE cookie in Ads Settings or in YourAdChoices.

- GT: no data protection legal framework currently in force; as a service commitment, we respond to requests within a maximum of 30 days.

Non-compliance with LFPDPPP may result in fines of 200-320,000 UMAs (art. 63).
