El projecte te per objecte la creacio del darrer tram de carril bici entre Pont Major i Campdora i correspon a la fase 3 d'aquest itinerari. Situa el seu inici al punt on acabara el carril bici de la fase 2, a l'espai lliure proper al Pont de l'Aigua al costat de la benzinera. Es proposa adequar el cami existent com a carril preferent per a bicicletes i vianants. El projecte es va aprovar definitivament per la Junta de Govern Local de 26 de marc de 2021 (expedient 2018044700) i esta redactat per l'equip tecnic municipal.Aquesta actuacio forma part del projecte "EFA218/16, TTFS, Turisme Transfronterer Fluvial i Sostenible Tet, Ter, Fluvia i Segre (TTFS)" del "Programa de Cooperacio Territorial Interreg V-A Espanya - Franca - Andorrra (POCTEFA) 2014-2020". A dins d'aquest programa s'hi inclouen els projectes que conformaran el carril bici de Pont Major a Campdora.
