The contract will be for the operation, maintenance, potential improvement works, treatment of compostable wastes, management of all reusable and recyclable materials and the transportation of residual waste. Disposal of residual waste, for which the Council has separate contracts, will not be covered under this contract.The contract will commence on the 1.4.2012 and will be for an initial period of 7 years, with the option to extend (reviewed on an annual basis) for up to a further 3 years to 31.3.2022.Tenderers will be required to submit a compliant tender, but may also submit one variant tender.
