Both applications have been successful and the Council and the Housing Association now wish to appoint a contractor(s) to build the housing on a design (novated) and build basis.Lot 1 - Renfrewshire Council: The construction of 37 high quality new Council properties on a Council owned site in the Blackhall area of Paisley. It is estimated that the construction costs for the development will be approximately GBP3.5m. The Design Team will be novated to the Contractor at contract award.Lot 2 - Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association: The construction of 71 high quality houses for rent on a site in the Gallowhill area of Paisley. The site is owned by the Council and is being purchased by the Housing Association. It is estimated that the construction costs for the development will be approximately 5 985 000 GBP. The Design Team will be novated to the Contractor at contract award.The site start will be no later than 31.3.2011.For the avoidance of doubt, Renfrewshire Council will be the employer for Lot 1.
