The kitchens throughout a 40 week licensing period will have been surface cleaned only, by the student residents on a weekly basis.The start date of the cleaning work will be normally around the 22nd of June each year depending on when the licence ends. Some sites may only have a 2/3 day window to turn their site around ready for conferencing.A percentage of each site will need to be secondary cleaned at the end of the conferencing period which is usually the first/ second week of September. The number of Secondary cleans will depend on the number of rooms that have been reused since the last deep clean took place. All of this information will be given to the appointed contractor(s) approx 4 weeks before each yearly commencement date.Because of the quick turnaround of Kingston University's accommodation, we may look to split the contract to ensure that the work can be carried out in the shortest time possible.Awards
