The procurement encompasses the maintenance requirements for: a. Tunnels Communications and Traffic Equipment in the Tunnels and on the TLRN: Closure barriers, traffic signals, traffic detection loops, Over-height Vehicle Detectors, Lane Control Signs, Variable Message Signs, Enhanced Message Signs, Matrix Signs, CCTV cameras, Emergency Roadside Telephones, Video Automated Incident Detection cameras and local CCTV and incident recording equipments, Radio Rebroadcast with Break-In facilities, Loud speaker Public Address (PA), Leaky Feeder (transmitters, cables and amplifiers, remote plant monitoring control equipment, etc); b. Transmission Station, roadside cabinets and installed equipment: Redbridge, Becton, M1 Junction 1, Dagenham and Hanger Lane Transmission Buildings, road side cabinets, including housed communications equipment, power supplies, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) and distribution networks and associated cabling to support the traffic equipment; c. LSTOC desktop terminals and Traffic Monitoring Equipment: The LSTOC user interface equipment in the Primary (Palestra) and Secondary (Buckingham Palace Road) STTOC areas; comprising user terminals (PC's, multiple monitors, etc) and video walls with associated infrastructure and assets. The summary of works, supplies and services required for this procurement is as follows. Regular Maintenance of the above assets, including but not limited to: -- Planned Preventive Maintenance; and -- Corrective Maintenance and fault rectification, including 24/7 emergency response to operationally critical incidents. Capital Works, including but not limited to: -- Replacement of redundant equipment with identical units; -- Reinstatement of damaged equipment; -- Renewal of equipment as required ensuring safe and reliable operations; -- Amendments to accommodate changes to the road network; and -- Support for emerging technology trials. In the course of undertaking the works, the supplier shall be responsible for the following: -- health and safety; -- traffic management where required and not already provided by others under planned closures; -- civil engineering works associated with on-street tunnel outstation assets; -- commissioning of new and reinstated equipment and decommissioning; -- operation of the site and fault management system (SFM); and -- testing and commissioning.Awards
