The councils collect the glass from 55ltr kerbside recycling boxes which are colour sorted into stillage vehicles. Alloa Community Enterprise (ACE) currently provide the collection for Clackmannanshire Council and FOCSA provide the collection for Falkirk Council. (The glass from both councils is currently directly hauled to OI in Alloa for reprocessing). Additionally glass collected source segregated in containers at each authority's recycling centres is included in this tender. The contract is split into 3 lots for potential tenderers: a) Lot 1 - Falkirk Council (only) b) Lot 2 - Clackmannanshire Council (only) c) Lot 3 - Combined award.
