The Contracting Authority has an historic patent collection dating from 1617-1900 that is not available electronically and parts of the collection are fragile and deteriorating and this affects the quality of the copies we can supply to customers. The Contracting Authority requires the scanning of the documents and transfer to IPO systems no later than the end of June 2013, with the work commencing in December 2012. The scope of the contract is to successfully scan this historic collection of Patent documentation stored at the IPO's warehouse facility. The outputs of this scanning exercise must then be indexed and passed to the IPO via an electronic media in order to transfer to its internal systems. Any resultant agreement(s) will be open for use by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills(BIS) and its partner organisations.Awards
